Local Information

Our house is located in Osceola County in the sub-division of Strafford Park and backs onto a conservation area.

It is situated on the Osceola Parkway which gives direct access to Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World. Most of the major attractions are only 20 minutes away. Close by are the Florida Greenway and I-4 which take you to the beaches on the Atlantic Coast – Cocoa Beach, Melbourne Beach and Daytona Beach. Also I-4 takes you to the Gulf Coast Beaches.

Ventura Downs Shopping Centre is less than 5 minutes away by car. Here you will find Publix Sabor and Albertson’s Supermarkets, a hardware store, gas station, mail shop, drug store, walk-in clinic, Chinese takeout, Little Caesers Pizza and other fast-food outlets, in fact everything for your day-to-day needs.

Because of the position of the house you have the best of both worlds – located in a pleasant residential suburb away from the tourist hubbub but within easy reach all the popular Parks.

Walt Disney World
With over 40 square miles of Disney Magic you are offered a choice of four different parks – all offering a different experience; three different water parks; and a sports complex.
Down Town Disney is also worth a visit. It has shops, restaurants, cinema and Pleasure Island. While you are there you can visit one of the largest Disney Stores in the world.

Sea World
Here you have the chance to watch the killer Whales perform their show as well as see a wide range of animals that you have not seen before. Sea World also has one of the steepest water rides around – Journey to Atlantis.

Bush Gardens
Bush Gardens is situated near Tampa. It offers you the experience of a Zoo, mixed in with a chance to ride some of the most exciting roller coasters in the world.

Universal Studios / Universal Studios Island of Adventure
These two parks offer you a great day out for all the family.

Universal Studios is where movies past and present are brought to life and shows how some of your families TV programmes are made.
Island of Adventure offers you all the thrills of riding some of the biggest and best white knuckle rides in the world.

Golf – Golfers are spoilt for choice. Take your pick of over 60 courses, all within the Kissimmee / Orlando Area. We have an all-you-can-eat/all-you-can-golf package with Remington Golf Club

Air Boats – See some of the local wild life – Follow the signs for airboat rides.

Helicopter rides – Either at Kissimmee Airport or on the 192

State Parks – Wekiwa Springs State Park; Bok Tower – real fun in the real Florida.

Orlando has a wonderful collection of entertainment – from its purpose-built entertainment complexes such as Church Street Station Disney’s Pleasure Island and Boardwalk, Universal Studios City Walk, and many dinner attractions such as Mediaeval Times.
